The full training is in everything I've learned in the past 15 years about professionally supporting people in alternatives to psychiatric drugs and 6 years of having a consulting business. These modules will be unrolled one at a time.

Your Instructor
Chaya Grossberg is a writer, teacher, coach and group facilitator living in Olympia, WA. She teaches classes and leads support groups for those coming off psychiatric drugs and seeking alternatives to psych drugs, and also coaches individuals in person and by phone.
She has been working as an activist for change in the “mental health” system and provided holistic mental health alternatives for the past 10 years, starting as a Freedom Center organizer for six years in Northampton, Massachusetts. She has consulted with the Western Massachusetts Recovery Learning Community, Massachusetts PAIMI council, Windhorse Associates, and Alternative to Meds Center.
She was the Community organizer at the Mental Health Association of Portland and The assistant director of Portland Hearing Voices. She was a Warm Line specialist at the Mental Health Association of San Francisco and has had her own consulting business working with individuals and families for 5 years.
Chaya has taught at numerous conferences related to coming off psychiatric drugs including NARPA, INTAR and Alternatives. She studied creative writing and experiential education at Hampshire College, and is a Kripalu certified yoga instructor. Chaya is a psychiatric survivor and has publicly spoken, written and blogged about her experiences and perspectives. She has also written poetry and created art and performance pieces about mental diversity and the importance of educated and informed choice.
